CONTAINER WORKSHOP 2 FUEL CELL IN NORWAY
A young company developing hybrid off-grid site electrification solutions contacted us to integrate its fuel cell into a 20′ container. The company has won a major European project and is carrying out its first shipping container project.
Our client won a call for projects to electrify an island in Norway. The harsh climatic conditions with large temperature variations required a thorough engineering study. In addition, the site was located by the sea where the air is salty. The diversity of expertise required (container transformation, temperature management, electricity, welding & fabrication, piping) pushed our customer to turn to Zhendre for a solution.
Together with the customer, we designed the thermal management system to maintain the correct temperatures when the battery is stopped, started or running in accordance with manufacturer data. The Zhendre design office proposed a saline air filtration system to protect the equipment inside the container. We designed and manufactured the chassis for the installation of the various equipment.
The Zhendre team set up the electrical cabinets and components, then carried out the wiring of the equipment. We renewed the maritime approval certificate for transporting the container by sea and applied a C5M paint complex to ensure maximum corrosion resistance.
