CONTAINERISED AIR CONDITIONER CMDZ5 IN FRENCH GUIANA

BACKGROUND

A major French water treatment company solicited us for a project in French Guiana. They sought to adapt two 40′ shipping containers in which they would mount their indoor water treatment system and then send this “turnkey” mobile unit, ready to connect to the industrial process.

CHALLENGE

Our customer wanted a CSC container that could travel by boat. The containers also had to have a 4-metre opening between the two containers to make room for piping. They chose our Gel coat, a resin solution applied to the floor that is waterproof and washes easily. Finally, one of the major challenges was the temperature and high humidity level in French Guiana, against which the equipment inside needed to be protected.

OUR EXPERTISE

To satisfy our customer we offered 3 of our CMDZ5 shelter air conditioners that can handle temperatures up to +55°C. The 3 units operate simultaneously and also control the humidity level inside the container to protect the equipment. We made the 4-metre opening in both containers and reinforced the structure to guarantee CSC compliance. We applied a C5M paint complex to ensure maximum corrosion resistance.
